About the event

Grief is one of the most universal human experiences—yet so many of us feel unprepared, unsupported, or misunderstood when we encounter it. This evening is an invitation to slow down and re-learn what grief actually asks of us.

Together, we’ll explore the latest research on grief and loss, including what truly helps, what unintentionally harms, and why many of the messages we’ve absorbed about “moving on” or “staying strong” are deeply misaligned with how healing really works. We’ll gently debunk common myths around grief timelines, emotional expectations, and societal pressures, making space for a more honest, humane understanding of loss.

This gathering will also focus on how to support others who are grieving—what to say (and what not to say), how to show up in meaningful ways, and how to offer presence without trying to fix what cannot be fixed. You’ll learn practical, compassionate tools you can carry into relationships…
